We are the sum of multiple vacation destinations and committed to offering a more personalized experience than you can get staying at more traditional options. We hope to become known for a natural port for sailors looking to explore the western basin of Lake Erie. We want to establish ourselves not only as a proximity choice for Cedar Point and the thrill seekers it draws, but as a destination for those interested in lake, small town and rural activities. Whether your interests are golfing or biking or you are on a family adventure hoping to visit wildlife attractions and enjoy beach time that will make memories to last a lifetime, we are dedicated to aiding where we can. Kristy and I have renewed and updated our property and the vision that was previously managed by my father, and we are just getting started.
We are currently offering one property located on the shores of Lake Erie, about a 15 minute drive to the back entrance to Cedar point. From there it is about 20 to the main causeway. Situated between the two lakeside towns of Vermilion to the east and Huron to the west, this home is part of the long-established park association of Mitiwanga. It has its own private beach, approximately 700 feet of secluded shoreline, two tennis courts, one basketball court and other park space, open to only about 70 homes. We are hoping to have two more property offerings here by the end of 2022. We will be sure that their opening is announced with much fanfare.
This endeavor is the extension of my father's original vision. Sadly he is now afflicted with dementia. He is an ex-Marine that is tough as nails and still kicking, but unable to aid or even appreciate what we have done in his honor. He was seeking to be the eternal host. We want to take that notion to the next level. We are just getting the ideas off the ground. We have a mantra that “We can't give you extra days for vacation (though if you want we will call your boss and ask politely) but we can help you make the most out of your time.” Look for package upgrades of that nature with options such as “stocked fridge”. This package would mean, when you arrive, we will have the things in your cabinets and refrigerator that you will need to get you through your stay. Even this will come with gluten-free, vegan and other sub-packages. Our sailing package will include an option to head out and catch one of our most splendid sunsets from the middle of Lake Erie and an “offshore breeze” will carry you back in. Another will be a newlywed package, including reservations at one of the local premier restaurants or we can deliver a custom-prepared meal to a beach-side picnic. Are you looking to propose? The view from the top of the cliff at sunset will make a memorable story for all to gloat over. We are also in the process of either reacquiring or fitting paddle boards, windsurfers, and kayaks. In the meantime, there are places to rent them nearby, but with your beach access, it is more convenient to take them. We have full diving gear and tanks that can be filled and waiting for you. There are a plethora of shipwrecks in the area. So many that Garth Brooks and his daughter, who are avid divers, bought a place in Vermilion just to have a close proximity. And these are just some of the ideas that we plan to build upon, so please, share with us as much as you are comfortable so we may customize your stay.
