The Crew Quarters

Welcome to the “Crew Quarters” part of “The shipwreck House”.  This is our most accommodating space.  We designed it with a large, growing, and/ or Multifamily stays in mind.

We seriously have thought of everything.  (Don’t take our word for it, navigate over to the “reviews” page and see for yourself.) This space boast the sleeping of 10 comfortably, and really 11 is possible.  There is a queen main bed for the Captain and first mate. Adjustable bed and a full closet for pleasant rest and long stays.  There is a bunk room with a full bed and three twins.  This room has it’s own TV and comes with a Retro Pi gaming system.  (If you have games you want on the system, reach out and ask and I will see if I can find them. )  Each room  has its own A/C, comfortable mattresses and pillow options.  Finally it has a queen murphy bed.  This helps the room double as a dining room when the outside patio is not a comfortable option.  Two fold out  tables can be set up to play family games, for which many are provided.

We have a bath and a half. Lt’s be honest, showers can be taken in turn but nature won’t wait. One Offshore Breeze staple amenity is a bidet (which is a guest favorite).  The kitchen is fully stocked.  We have been frustrated on travels where the kitchen was understocked and accommodations were sparse and low quality.  While I own AirBnB I had not stayed in one until 2024 in Huston.  It had nothing but the bare minimum. Kristy told me “this is the way most of them are stocked.” That wouldn’t do for our guests?  There is a full stove, microwave, and everything you will need to cook a family meal.  THIS is how we are going to make a better value than staying at a classic hotel. The propane grill is always filled and ready for you to put the family griller to work.  (That is Kristy in our household.) The décor was thoughtfully selected from my time in the south Florida Bahamas region. We want it to instill that sensation of carefree paradise.

Of course, just like every one of our offerings at Offshore Breeze Vacation Homes there is a full complement of  bedding, linens, and beach towels.

You could Technically show up and not even leave the house for a few days if you don’t mind eating ramen noodles, soup, and drinking water.  But that is not why you are here.

The Shipwreck house is only a few hundred yards from a welcoming sandy beach. We have so many options to help you enjoy the beach and lake. From chairs, shades, and beach blanket to knee boards, floaties, and life jackets. Let’s not forget the “beach glass” kits Kristy put together. They have been a huge hit in the past year. Additionally there is a Tennis court for which we have pickleball equipment, and a basketball court for which we have the ball, as well as grass where a volleyball net often gets erected.

While we expect most families are destined for at least one day at Cedar Point, there is much to do in the surrounding area. Nestled exactly in between the lake and river side towns of Vermilion to the East and Huron to the West.  You will find these communities welcoming  for visitors who are hungry for exploration as much as they are food. However with the regionally renowned “Angry Bull Steakhouse”, the world respected 5 star “Chez Francois”,  as well as endless specialty and pub joints in between, you will only go hungry is you want to.

The sunsets over “The Point” are a nature provided amenity that you just can’t get anywhere else in the world.  Lately we have been blessed with frequent occurrences  the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights visible from our blinded hill. We will let you know if they are going to be visible during your stay.

So come aboard and experience an “AirBnB” like no other you have stayed at or even heard of from your friends.
